La Bella Electric Bass Guitar, .060 - .115, Black Nylon Tape Wound, 760Nstar rating 5Ravyn 18December 17, 2009I have played bass for 20 yrs professionally for the last 10. I have used all sorts of strings. I finally found Fender tape wounds and loved them. with the only flaw was they went flat quick. Nine yrs ago in Vegas was playing a show and one of the other band's bassist sold me a set of strings before a show since mine went to xxx. Played the show with them and instantly fell in love with them. He told me what they were and I have never played another string again. The warm tone and overall playability of these strings are bar none the best the only draw back to them is "usually" the price (which till now I was paying up to $75 a set) but the price is well worth every penny if you are a serious bassist.
La Bella Electric Bass Guitar, .060 - .115, Black Nylon Tape Wound, 760Nstar rating 5Bill BanchNovember 25, 2009I really like the Deep Talkin' Bass Strings and use them on my Warwirk Corvette fretless exclusively. I find they produce a very versatile sound. I play a lot of gigs where normally an upright would be used but the warm and non-btting tone these produce sound so much like an upright, even veteran listeners often mistake it for one. I have virtually no fret board wear and the strings last much longer than the standard nickel and stainless steel types I formerly used. When I purchased my Warwick 8 years ago it was recommended that I use nylon strings to reduce fret board wear and produce an upright like sound, so I restrung it immediately with La Bella nylons and haven't changed since. This is one helluva product and I highly recommend them.

I put them on my acoustic bass guitar and now it sounds much more like a standup bass. The feel is great, similar to a flat wound string. Sounds great when I play with other acoustic players.
