They replaced the long scale Rotosound Roundwounds Swing 66 set with a 105 "E" that I forced onto the short scale Hofner. These LaBella strings had higher tension (I had to adjust the neck), they had a stiffer feel (but you get used to it) and they had a deep low end and less high end. Better sounding IMHO. So, it's a trade-off of better sounding but hight tension and stiffer feel.
