They seem to last longer than most of the other phosphor bronze and bronze strings but they are cheaper than the coated strings like Elixer. I also seem to have less breaks than some of the cheaper strings out there.

I've used the 80/20's for a long time but decided to try the phosphor bronze. My mandolin responds and sounds better with the phosphor bronze. I think it will depend on the instrument but mine definitely like them.
