PRO--Pure nickel wrap (think Vintage Reissue), ball-ends are hand-silked in red. CON--Not available in 11's The epoxy, (vs enamel) coated wire in these pickups accentuate mids. Ceramic disc capacitors can sound biting. These Nickle Wound strings do an excellent job of smoothing things out.

Cons-Gauge stops at .010-.046, one (1) of the two (2) sets installed had silk wrap on wound strings only. Nice tone & playability in a .010-.046 gauge string. Look elsewhere if you need "11's" or "12's."

The cloth wrapped ends not only are easy on the ABR bridges but also have a cool look to them for a vintage appeal. Rock Blues Metal or Prog, a great string that lasts for weeks if you are an everyday player. The Brite Wires for an alloy string favor next to these if your note a pure nickel user.
