I have been searching for good sounding-long lasting heavy gauge strings. So... I tried out the Elixir 12-52 strings. The Elixir's offer reduced finger noise due to the Nano Web coating. The overall tone of the string is bright and clear, but not too bright. They offer a well-balanced tone. The Nano Web coating also works perfectly to do its main purpose which is to make the strings last longer! I don't know about you but I play a lot. I often think that I must sweat acid or something because with un-coated strings, I often have to change my strings out after every show. With the Elixirs, I can keep a set on until I break a string. So... I would highly recommend these strings to anyone who is looking to save some change and keep their strings longer.
