Elixir Acoustic PolyWeb Coating .059, 13159star rating 4bdeluxeNovember 6, 2010This string is the largest diameter gauge you will find in the Elixir range, unfortunately. My application is to add it to a 6 string set(10- 49, I believe)of Polyweb for a 7 string acoustic jazz guitar application. Doing so gives you the same type of string across the range of wound ones, rather than an odd 7th. Because of the added tension on a 7 string neck, they feel more like 11 or 12 gauge, but work well with reduced finger noise and long life. I wish that Elixir offered larger guage strings, up into the .70-.80 range, but for now this .59 will suffice.
